Afterhours 20TEN Starts Now

That's right, we're gearing up for another year with the Cornerstone Music Festival. As always, we start each year with a call out to the community for the best Christian DJs to throw us a mix and possibly get on the roster for the Afterhours Club Stage. This year we are experiencing a major venue change.  I'm not sure how much of it has been made public yet by the festival, so you'll have to wait for some details. What I'm sure I can tell you though, is that we will be moving out of the Barn.  This move should put us in a much more trafficked area and if all goes right should allow us to get started a bit earlier each night. Most of the details are still being worked out as I typed, but I can tell you that I am excited about the change.

Afterhours 2009: The Photos

Afterhours 2009 Photos

Well, it was an amazing year. Things went much better than expects, so much more that I’m personally paranoid about how well they went. I’ll write more about that in a future article, but for now, I don’t want to leave you hanging any longer. Here are almost 300 photos from Afterhours 2009.

I also want to give special thanks to Jessica Reiche for taking time out to act as photographer for this year’s event. Thanks to her, we have over 700 quality photos in our archive. Brother Brooks and I took threw in about another 500 photos between us. If you were there, and you have photos that you think need to be added, contact us and let us know where we can get them.

My wrap-up article will be coming “soon” and next month, we’ll have all the audio for you’re listening pleasure.

Enjoy the photos.

Afterhours Volume 2 Track Listing Announced

Afterhours Vol. 2

Today, I am proud to announce the track listing for this year’s compilation CD. For those of you, who contributed financially to the CD, thank you. Your copies will be in the mail after the festival and I promise that I’ll take them out of the box before I leave so you definitely have them. This year we had more than thirty tracks submitted and Joel meticulously sifted and sorted his way through them until he had just the right quality and blend of music to put together a CD that outshines our previous volume. With artist representation from at least 5 countries and 3 continents, once again we are spanning the globe with some of the finest Christian EDM written in the last year or so. Enough with the fluff, here’s the track list:

Mystery DJ Revealed: Jeremy Dawson of the Shiny Toy Guns

Jeremy Dawson

Returning to Cornerstone for the first time in close to nine years is Jeremy Dawson. After his first band Cloud2Ground left N*soul Records, he and his partner in crime Chad Petree formed a little group known as Slyder. With multiple releases on Moonshine Records and several other labels, Slyder made a dent some rather huge dents in the trance market and even dabbled in Drum and Bass for a few releases under yet another name. Jeremy during this time went on tours with several big names that included Paul Oakenfold.

Afterhours Lineup Change

Mystery DJ

We’d like to announce a slight change in the 2009 Afterhours lineup.  Friday night will no longer consist of just Dave Richards and Aesias Finale. A third mystery DJ has been added to the lineup. At this time, we cannot release the name of the new DJ, but we can tell you the following:

  • Our DJ has played Cstone before.
  • Our DJ has had releases on N*Soul.
  • Our DJ has toured with several big names.
  • Our DJ has not posted on Tastyfresh.com in several years.

Once the contract is in, we’ll post the DJ’s bio, photo and well more info. I hope you all are as excited about this as we are.
