HG Episode 6: DJ Spiritually Minded

This month we celebrate our friend Christopher Carl, with an energetic mix of house and electro that I know Chris would approve of. On the wheels of steel is DJ Spiritually Minded, from Toronto Canada. Download now.

Adam Vegys Aka Dj Spiritually Minded from Toronto Canada has been Producing for over 8 years and Djing for over 4. With every year passing his sound is expanding and developing into more unique and captivating sounds. His style in the studio ranges from Downtempo to House music with a little drum n bass. On the dance floor he likes to keep the energy high with House, Progressive, Minimal and Tribal. He also loves to throw down some earth quake Drum & Bass which was his first love in electronic music.

Adam is currently working on releasing a wave of House tracks for the dance floor after completing 2 artist albums of Downtempo and Breaks. He has worked with Monica Shroeder on his track Crystal Sky. Monica is one of Canada’s upcoming vocal talents and has been nominated for best outstanding pop recording 2007 by Western Canada Music Awards. Adam has also worked with local RnB/Hiphop artists Sean Prominent, Steven Mulcare and Andrew Huang.

Adam has performed on the Radio with CFMU 93.3 Fm Hamilton and has also been interviewed on CHUO.FM Ottawa for his involvement in organizing alternative positive events for electronic music outside of bars and clubs. Adam has formed a team that run events every few months for this purpose, called Sound Ministry based out of Toronto. Sound Ministry was also part of a Documentary on Global TV's “Hip 2 be Holy” showing how people are expanding the ways they connect with God and reach out to people.

For Adam the music is not just music, but a spiritual connection with the unseen part of our being where we can connect with God. After coming out of the Rave scene at the turn of the millennium, Adam regained his Faith in Jesus and decided to make a difference for the better in this world. It is just as much part of Adam’s vision to unify people into positive community that enjoy electronic music as it is for him to write cutting edge electronic music.

Right now Adam is refining his live set and booking Dj gigs as well as throwing Sound Ministry events. He looks forward to the adventure of the coming years.

  1. Zounds!...Elehehoh! greek for "have mercy" I am SOOOOO insanely glad to have found this site. Awesome tunes on that download, I put that to my background and then youtubed Isaac Air Freight "Rapture Hotline", good mix, effortless mix. phones ringing, asking people if they wanna get saved, hooray. enough about me. Seriously, I have noticed on Youtube that typing in Christian as a search term sometimes leads to decidedly non-christian or even FALSE christian vid's, however, typing in Gospel tends to edit out the evil persecutors. (dJ persecutor) thought I'd share that with you and also that youtube is my primary mode of finding christian bands. I've found my metal and I've found my techno, next is Industrial Gospel.

I will promote your site until , then, Be Well.:o" />
  2. Absolutely Awesome! I really dig these tracks. Do any of you guys know the tracklist for this particular mix? I visited DJ S-M's website and I cant find this mix. There are a few artists I would really enjoy, but I cant seem to find any way to find out who they are. So If you guys would do me a favor: Please list this the artist and their songs. I would definately appritiate it. Thanks and God Bless.

Undiscovered? Certainly. Untapped? Definitely. Raw talent? Possibly. J Puddy has been spinning a blend of trance and progressive music since 2004. Living in Toronto he was a member of the Toronto Groove Collective, playing many gigs around the city and opening a concert for Delirious in 2006. Since moving to Europe he's played at Dynamite Music festival in Helsinki, and Sencity 2009, among other gigs. People frequently describe his DJ sets as "Pretty good","Not quite what we were expecting", and "That music you were playing, that's called techno, right?"
